Forget 5 times fast...
Can you say Kinnickkinnick just once? Not only is Massachusetts Kinickkinnick a challenge to pronounce, it's also not easy to find around here. And yet it is a lovely, green, problem-solving perennial. We carry it at Petal Pushers, among other unusual perennials and annuals, because we believe many gardeners in these parts would like to have a selection of plants that are uncommon -- not simply hard to find, but plants that will set their gardens apart from others.
Problem-solving perennial
The Massachusetts Kinickkinnick is a full sun perennial that thrives in poor, dry soil. It is disease resistant, produces light pink flowers followed by plump red berries on lustrous evergreen foliage that can spread up to 6 feet wide. Bees love the flowers; birds eat the berries, and the evergreen foliage offers protection year-round. A gardening trifecta!
Show-stoppers sold here
And if it's the spectacular that you're striving for, look at the Star of Persia allium. Sure, Flowering Onions may be available elsewhere, but not this variety. Far be it from us to brag, but if you are looking for the unusual, for a show-stopper, for the ta-daaaaaaa addition to your garden, look no further than right around the corner. We have it here at Petal Pushers Farm.
